Singing for Haringey Mums is a friendly and relaxed community singing project led by Maria, designed to bring women together across Haringey through the shared joy of singing, connection and wellbeing.

Over four sessions between October 2026 and March 2027, taking place across Haringey, women of all ages and backgrounds are invited to come together, with or without children. Babies and pre-school children are warmly welcome, so caring responsibilities don’t have to be a barrier to taking part.

No singing experience is needed. We sing for connection, not perfection. Songs are taught by ear using simple, accessible techniques, allowing everyone to join in at their own pace. Together, we’ll sing beautiful, easy-to-learn songs inspired by musical traditions from around the world, including Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, Turkey, Greece, Albania and beyond. The repertoire will include melodic mantras, lullabies, seasonal folk songs and accessible contemporary songs, celebrating Haringey’s rich cultural diversity.

Singing together is a lovely way to relax, connect with others and enjoy being yourselves. Babies and children love being part of the music too, soaking up the sounds, voices and harmonies around them. It’s a chance to pause, breathe, sing together and share something joyful — leaving you feeling relaxed, connected and uplifted.
